The city of Unna presents Aluminiumwerk Unna AG with the climate change protection flag. An appreciation of the outstanding contribution made by the aluminium company to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Certification of environmental and energy management system was achieved.
The new 35 MN direct / 40 MN indirect extrusion press, quench system, run-out table and ancillary equipment is the latest and most state of the art addition to the extrusion facilities at Aluminiumwerk Unna AG.
A number of projects to reduce energy consumption including new roofs to the cutting, heat treatment and inspection buildings were completed. Other projects included the commissioning of a central compressed air hub.
A 50 million investment plan is announced as part of the companys 95th year anniversary celebrations
A record breaking year for the company with a turnover of 90 million is announced.
At the end of the 90s and AMAG decides to sell its majority stake in Aluminiumwerk Unna AG. In a deal commencing on 01 January 2000, the majority share in the new company was transferred to the former works council chairman, Thomas Wiese (72.7%) and the rest to the workforce (25.1%).
A Distribution company was founded in Casselberry, Fl. USA. Today, ALUnna Tubes USA Inc. is based in Denver today.

After more than 60 years of heavy metal production, the production of copper and brass semi-finished products was discontinued with the company concentrating only on aluminium alloy products
The increasing importance of light metal production for the company was the focus of the Annual General Meeting on 24 January 1969. The reduction is brass production and the increase in light metal (aluminium) production meant that the business needed a new name.
The resumption of production under American forces occupation commences in the same month as the end of the war.
On 23.03.1945 a heavy bombing raid took place on Unna.
1935 sees the start of production of semi-finished aluminium products
In 1915 the construction of factory buildings begins, some of which are still in use today. Production commences on 10.01.1915
10 entrepreneurs from Unna join together to form the brass works company Messingwerk Aktiengesellschaft on 31 March 1914.
